Dylan grew up in Westminster, Maryland with his mom, dad, and sister. He spent his youth playing soccer and Xbox, and in middle school, he began working with his dad to earn money for video games. This unexpected part-time job with his father, a framing contractor, inadvertently taught Dylan about building and the basics of structural engineering. As he got older, Dylan started his own small business focused on upscale outdoor living spaces, eventually expanding into custom home builds and renovations. Alongside running his business, Dylan pursued studies at Harvard Business School and different Harvard Extension Schools, concentrating on leadership, team development, and business strategy. His passion for architecture and design led him to travel extensively, exploring different parts of the world and studying various architectural styles. It was during one of these trips that Dylan met his wife Wendy, and are now enjoying time with their dogs Thor and Penelope.
"I remember visiting my dad at work, we would bring him lunch and I would run around my dad's job-sites. Eventually I was brave enough to walk on walls and climb on the roof, and it wasn't long after that I was learning how to use tools, set trusses. Initially it was fun until I realized I was working an after-school job that I could get paid for."
"My wife is the most beautiful, smart, and talented woman I know, her dedication to med-school and developing her passion to make the medical field a better place amazes me everyday. She helps keep me focused and pushes me to be the best I can be, and that starts by her telling me she has a better design or the backsplash I picked doesn't match."
"We got Thor when he was just 4 weeks old. Out of all the puppies, Thor was the most energetic. Dobermans are definitely our favorite breed of dog, Thor has showed us the true meaning of loyalty and love, it's amazing how much you can learn from a dog. I got the "no way we are keeping him" Thor is 7 now."
